Individual Therapy

Life can be challenging and I truly believe we are doing the best we can at any given moment. For most of us, there will come a time where we feel stuck or are facing certain challenges. Sometimes we know exactly what is wrong and other times we come for genuine self-discovery. Getting support from a therapist can help you better understand your current emotional state and create new ways to think about yourself and your relationships. By uncovering the obstacles holding you back, you can learn to practice vulnerability, courage, make better choices, turn goals into realities, and find a greater sense of peace and joy in life. 

While I incorporate a variety of modalities into my work, I tend to focus on the here-and-now. This means that I pay a lot of attention to what is happening in the present moment. After all, the present is where life happens and my goal is to help you feel better in the now. Your past will come up, so that we can uncover motives and feelings outside of your awareness, but the ultimate goal is to help you improve your quality of life in your present reality. I will teach you evidenced based therapy skills, which means these are skills grounded in research with outcomes that support a reduction in mental health symptoms.
